Might do a search in the classifieds to see what others have charged. My search yeilded results of anywhere from 6 to 10 dollars for a blank 5 inches long. The ones with COA's did cost a little more.

Keith, list them for a price that makes it worth your time and trouble. If they are too expensive, no one will buy - then you can lower the price. List them too cheaply, or at the best price, and they will be gone right away. Easy to lower the price, very difficult to raise it.

My local woodworking store (Wood Werks) has some wood pen blanks now for $51 each!

Pricing is tricky business as Chris pointed out.

Price it so you are not giving it away but still be able to sleep soundly at night

start out at five thousand a piece. There is an idiot born every 0.00006 seconds!

I agree with all the above suggestions. Cut them to 5.25" lengths and give them a price. along the lines of the pricing found on e-bay, etc. If they don't dell right away ... come back in a day or so with a little lower price and try again.

One way to draw attention to your wood is to offer a piece that has a side finished and properly displayed. Maybe even turn a pen, assemble it, and show it as a finished item. Good luck with your endeavors!

all 4 is 50 euro? that's like what, $80 U.S. ? It sounds steep, but what do I know? How much would it cost to just buy a slab? I'd buy the whole slab, cut that up, divide how much I yield by the cost, add a buck or two and that's the deal...which sounds to me like a heck of a deal, because I see people selling pen blanks for $5, but I can buy the lumber of that blank for $20 a board foot which is the equivalent of 35-40 blanks.

I think the Euro is running about $1.25-1.30 right now, so maybe $70

There has been IBO sell on feeBay for 15.00, also got some for about 9.00 a blank after shipping, your Bog Yew is pretty and considering the price on some of the Chinese wood, 20.00 a blank sounds reasonable to me,
