We're going to have two rounds of voting. The first round reduces the field from 38 to 10.

We have a change to the prize structure. Instead of first, second, and third place, plus two random draw prizes, we have six placing prizes and three random draw prizes:

First Place: Choose either Norseman Drill set from Mark James or Magic Skew from T. Shadow and Co. (not both)
Second Place: whichever of the two the first place winner doesn't select
Third Place: $50 Gift card from George's Bits of Timber
Fourth Place:$50 Gift card from hcpens
Fifth Place: $50 Gift card from Kallenshaan Woods
Sixth Place Ring neck pheasant blank set for jr gent from JohnU

Random Draw for all entrants that don't finish in the top 6:

Genuine Pretty Wood Pen made by Lou Metcalf
Pretty wood pen blanks donated by greenmtnguy
An IAP-embroidered "drool towel" donated by Mr. and Mrs. stonepecker.

Thank you to all of the donors for the fantastic prizes.

Not let's get on with it!

Indeed. Each time I received an entry, I drooled a little.

Everybody did fantastic.

Regrettably, I found out that Rick G's entry didn't make it to my email box for some reason. As a small consolation, I'll include him in the opportunity to win a random draw prize.

That's a great gesture. I second that motion.

As expected, there's a jumble in the top 10 so far.

I'm impressed with the number of voters (125) that have voted as of this post. Thank you for taking the time to vote.

Polls for the first round close Saturday night.

Too bad the turned barrels were shown assembled into pens. The pens are all so beautiful I don't know if I am voting because of the pen or the wood blank. Perhaps if all the beautiful woods were all on the same pen kit.

A fantastic bunch of pens overall. A couple questionable choice of pen kits IMO but even then a great display of both beautiful wood and great skill. But to me there is still one pen that stands out above all the others, number - .

A little more than four hours left to cast your top 5 votes before the poll closes.

I'm impressed with the number of voters for this contest. Thank you all for stepping up!

Round One is done, thanks to 147 voters! That's a fantastic turnout.

I'm keeping the results of Round One closed until the contest is all done.

I'll have Round Two voting posted tonight.
