I just tested my HF pressure pot. There are a couple of minor leaks that can be fixed with a tweak here and there with teflon tape. My concern is the pressure relief valve. The pot is listed has having a working pressure up to 60 psi. The valve kicks open at 55 psi. Has anybody run into this and have you changed the valve or how did you handle it? I realize that the relief valve is a good thing but not if it releases before it should.

I purchased a HF Pressure Pot and the pressure relief was popping off at about 40 psig, I could only get it adjusted up to 55 psig, by tightening it. After that I pressure tested all my connections and it held 55 psig for 48 hours when I depressurized it. I have ordered a better quality 60# pressure relief valce to replace this one.

Thanks for the replies. I will try and see if I can adjust mine. Ken where did you order a replacement from?

That is what I am thinking. What are you doing under that much pressure.??? Are you trying to stabalize some blanks because if you are using just to get rid of bubbles you are way too high. I do not go over 40. If you are using some sort of pourous material I think you would be better off with a vaccuum and then switched to pressure. Of course if using alumilite then all bets are off. Let those people give the answers. Good luck.
