Where do you find these pressure pots and what exactly do they do?I've read that they remove bubbles but how? Sorry for the stupid questions but I'm just trying to get started and I'm learning.
Thanks,Toyotaman

They are used for castings various resins. Typically when you cast alumilite you would use pressure. Polyester Resin (PR) you would use vacuum. Each will have their own way of casting....some that use PR use neither. Do a search in the library here and have fun!

Your questions are very broad but I will answer the easiest one... Pressure pots remove bubbles because the pressure compresses them to a level where they are not visible.

Casting is not something that you can just jump into. I recommend that you look through all the library articles on the subject. There are plenty of them. Then go back in this forum and pick out threads. There is an abundance of information here but you need to do your homework for both safety and procedures so that you are not injured and the startup costs are not wasted away in failures.
