Anybody have information on the following self-inflicted challenges?

1. Reservoir made from PR... Will dip pen ink harm it?
2. Temps... I'd really like to make window crank knobs and a shifter knob for my VW Bus. I worry that the 120+ temps inside in summer would soften it too much. (Luckily I don't live in the desert... heh)

Any thoughts on these?

I've made shift knobs and window crank knobs. They've been in the vehicles for a couple years without any problems.
My dad even keeps his pens in his truck all the time and it's been in FL, CA, TX and up through Canada at all temps and no trouble.

First start on resin in the bus. Comic Flame lock knobs on my 78 VW Bus:

Oh, man... Don't even kid about that. My bus has been broken into several times.

I don't understand why my $5 swap meet sunglasses are so desirable.
