PR and Alumilite: Pressure pot

Hi,
I have been using Alumilite excslusively for about 7 months now and getting great results using my pressure pot and pressurizing it to 60 psi and letting it sit for an hour or so.

I just got a hold of some PR and want to know if I can do the same thing? Mix it, put in the MEKR, mix well, put in resin saver mold, put in PP and pressurize to 60 psi, let sit for an hour or so?

PR takes longer to set depending on amount of catalyst added and anything else you stick in it.

That's how I have been doing it. Sometimes I leave it sit longer when I forget.

Thank you!! I got confused reading a lot of the posts between using pressure and using vacuum.

Can you explain when you would use vacuum instead of pressure?

I personally use if for stabilizing wood not with casting but others do use it for casting.
