I haven't had much luck so far so I'm hoping that someone in this group might be able to help. I have an original (American made) Powermatic 3520 lathe that I've some how stripped the threads in the tailstock quill (okay I have a pretty good idea how this might have happen, just suprised that it did.) I can't seem to either find parts or find anyone that would know if the quill for the 3520B is the same as the original. The lead quill screw (the thing that moves the quill forwards and back) has the same original stock number but the quill is different. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Bob I.

I would if I could but I can't find a number for them anywheres and when I talked with a business that sell Powermatic equipment he said that they only do things by e-mail and that is only to retailers. What a pain in the butt it is to find out info from Powermatic!

Try 1-800-Bad-Part it is either Delta or Powermatic Cant remember which but the one might tell you the others # :biggrin: Worth a shot worst thing that can happen is you will have to hang up :biggrin::biggrin::biggrin:
Jay

I got this from Powermatic's website;
Replacement parts can be purchased directly from WMH Tool Group via our website on the Replacement Parts page or by calling Consumer Relations at 800-274-6848 - 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (CST, Monday - Friday).

hope this helps!!:biggrin:

(oops, Gary beat me to it!)

Do what Gary said. Whoever told you that Powermatic service only communicated by email is full of doodoo. When I bought my 3520a, it developed a power switch problem. Called them, and they sent a guy from Colorado Springs up 2 days later to fix it. Done. Problem solved, 1 phone call.

I've heard horror stories from other manufacturers (I have a friend who's been waiting almost 3 months for an electrical part for his Grizzly lathe and they can't give him any assurance that it won't be another 3 months) but my experience with Powermatic has been fantastic.

That was a few years ago. I hope that hasn't changed.

Dale
