Powder Coating Question

Hello All,
Let me start by saying I know next to nothing about powder caoating. I'm involved in a project in which I have a nail (#6 common) going through plastic, the nail is exposed in several places. Can I powder coat the nail while it is in the plastic, without husrting the plastic part? Thanks for any response.

Probably not, but it will depend on what kind of plastic. You have to heat the coated metal to about 400 degrees which is too hot for most plastics.
