Off to see the doc today to see what he says. Hopefully he can tell me why my one leg is frozen from the knee down. I talked to him on the phone late last night but dont think he really understood what I was trying to say. Sounds like a blood clot or blockage to me but we will see.

Sorry to hear about that Nolan, but I'm glad you're keeping us posted. Keep after them Docs. Squeaky wheel gets the grease.

Heh made it back and all is well, Doc doesnt know why the one leg is so cold but have no other signs or symtoms of ambulizims (sp) or clotting he said keep a real close eye on it and go see my primary to have a blood work up as it is out of his specialty. He said he didnt do anything that would couse this symtom. So we will see it is definatly not as bad as it was the one night. Thanks everyone and have a super Thanksgiving to all.

Glad to hear that there wasn't anything from the surgery that would cause it and that the Dr. feels good about the way things are progressing. Remember we are pulling for you. Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours, and maybe if you eat an extra helping of turkey and dressing, the leg will get warmer[?][:D]

Hi Nolan

I hope all is well. With my recent hip replacement they put me on blood thinners for 45 days, Fragmin. I was given a run down on what a clot would feel like and the urgency of getting to an Emerg.

My thoughts are with you.

Being where I live I was able to pick my own Dr so his expertise was prime in my selection...God help us if we ever get an insurance based system.

Nolan: Has the Doc suggested a "dopplar" test? I had the same feeling in my legs and went to the VA med, center here in Michigan (detroit) and had one done. 25% blood flow in the right and 60% in the left. I had lots of cat-scans done also. Finally they had to take my right leg below the knee and two more operations they ended up taking it above the knee. Not to scare you, but get some more tests done. My left leg just below the knee feels like stone and they said in a year or two I just might have it taken off also.I am now confinded to wheelchair and scooter for outdoors travel. Get more test done please!!! mikem

Embolisms and DVTS are no fun. My wife has had a DVT on two separate occasions in the same leg an a very small pulmonary embolism.
Ask your doctor for a doppler on the leg and for a D. DIMER test for your blood.
Trust every thing stays OK.

Just tell the Doctors If you wanted a cold leg you could turn your own![:p][:p][:p]
