The plus side of "retiring from the penmaking business" is that I don't lie awake at night worrying that some pen I sold for $25 fell apart after the poor customer spent their MONEY on it. ( I had some PSI "premium designer twists" fittings come loose on me and it scared the hell outta me.[xx(])

The down side, of course, is that my love of exotic wood affair is over, for now anyway.:(:(

A drop of CA will solve that problem.

Why not pick up a JET pen lathe?? They have some limitations; but are much better than nothing. Can still be had on eBay for a not too much...under a hundred bucks in many cases. They only weigh 12 lbs....you could set one up on your patio/balcony or even inside if you can deal with the mess.

Yeah, heck, I turn in my living room. I've got a Taig lathe, and I plan on trying bowls here in a couple weeks (already got the stock). I'd do it on a balcony if I had one - who cares if it's -30 outside? :)

Brian,
Ain't the Forks Grand? LOL I though we were cold at -10 every morning all week... Forget going out at night. Dozens of wrecks, ditch drivers, all from super hard frozen roads... Like a big sheet of ice... John
