Last June a friend of mine, Richard "Curly" Stowell, whom I knew a long time ago in my Motorcycle days and who I recently had gone to church with, was killed in a motorcycle accident in June of this year.
He was the Chaplain of the Blacksheep Motorcycle Club in Seagolville, TX.
I have done a number of Freedom Portraits of Fallen Soldiers in the past couple years and this one was the first portrait I have done of someone I knew. What a difference knowing someone makes. Tears make it difficult to see the lines as you are cutting.
A friend in Dallas who owns a Framming shop did the framing for me. I have almost 20 hours of cutting and pattern time in this.
One copy is for Teresa, Curly's wife and the other is for the Blacksheep Clubhouse.
Rest in Peace My Brother!!!
