I've seen some amazing polymer clay blanks and thought I would experiment. Watched a few video tutorials and figured why not, give it a try. It's not as easy as it looks, but not bad for simple patterns. I dropped $25 bucks at the craft store for an assorted pack of Sculpey III clay and a roller. The image is my first blanks on some extra 7mm tubes. They turn well, but go lightly, sands and polishes very nice.

Lessons learned:
- Experiment, if it doesn't work, save the scraps for later
- Don't get discouraged, it looks like a total disaster in the beginning, but it works out in the end
- Keep your work surface (extra tile left over from the bathroom) real clean, you can see some gray in my fiery blank.
