PITH Recieved from Vallealbert

A little over a week ago I received the below pen in a very heavy box (the box stuffing is also below. I must say it is the nicest piece of pine I've ever seen. According to Vallealbert it is 150 years old Caribbean Pine from a baluster. I've always wanted to live in the Islands, and now have a small piece of them to carry around:smile-big:.

It is greatly appreciated. And the box stuffing was pretty nice too:biggrin:!!

That's nice. My parents immigrated from Cuba and a always love seeing "island wood". I'll have to get my hands on some soon.

Thanks Buford again for posting the pictures. As I told you earlier, it was a real challenge to turn this cross-cut pine blank...it was so brittle. The kit is a Elegant Sierra from Timberbits...TG/BT. Glad you like it and I hope the wood be useful to you. Take care and enjoy.
