Well I just found out that my team will no longer be needed. We had a great run, but the budget cuts finaly hit us.

Anyone know of someone on the east coast looking for an SQA Engineer. Would prefer Tidewater VA, but relocation is not ruled out.

I understand where you're coming from...I'm looking too! With this town's primary industry closing, there isn't much call for new teachers...hopefully something opens up soon, to keep my penturning budget possible!

John I wish you the best of luck. I can really feel for you. Before I retired in 2002 I worked in the aerospace business and had to sweat budget cuts every two or three years. Never got layed off but was close several times.

What a raw deal, and such bad timing being the holidays and all! I'm sorry to hear that. I've spent a few holidays between jobs in the past, so I know what it's like. Hang in there, network with EVERYBODY you know, as good jobs sometimes come up by the referrals of others.

BTW, I spent some time in the Tidewater area many years ago. Nice place - I enjoyed it there. I hope you can find some good opportunities there and not have to leave.
