Hi folks,
You may remember a couple of moths ago I posted about some Scouts that came into my shop so I could help them cut out their cars. They had their derby today. 18 boys showed up to race their cars. They raced down until one boy came out the winner. The top four position's received medals while the rest of the boys received certificates of participation. Below are some photos of the event.

The winner is on the left, and the three runner ups are on the right in order from left to right 2nd - 4rth.

Stevers,

Looks like they had a good experience. Thank you for helping to shape young people. Our Church has Pinewood derby races too and we are going to have an open class (anything goes) for those of us who are older and still have a desire to compete.

Thank you Mark, but we should be thanking people like you and the other leaders of troops like this. I just helped them with their designs a little and took a couple of pictures. You and other leaders take your personal time and effort to help shape these young minds. So,,,, thank you and people like you.

Steve, I am not a scout leader. Just someone who is interested in running a derby car in the open class "anything goes" category. I like you would help a boy that needs someone who has a scroll saw to give them some direction. It looks like your group had all kinds of ideas. I like the "Snicker" car. Now there's one I could sink my teeth into.
