Had some fun making the cherry handle for this pig tail flipper. I've used one of these for over a year now and prefer it over other grilling utensils. I was excited to see I could buy the kit and make my own handle. The metal is 304 stainless steel, and it's very strong. I preferred the 16 inch kit over the 10 inch. More reach is probably better for grilling purposes. Only thing I had to modify was giving the pig tail tip a sharper point. For that, I use a diamond file.
For those interested, I've included a tutorial and also a marinade recipe for beef tenderloin. Enjoy!
