I am in the process of creating a lasting tribute to my dear friend Eagle. You can see it here...check out the Eagle's Nest. http://www.heritagepens.com/categories.php

I will post any photos that anyone chooses to share. It can be a pen you completed, a blank, a pen you received. Anything to give pen turners something to shoot for. Please note that there will be no links, no attributions, no explanations. This area is all about the legacy.

Feel free to send photos to me through the contact information on the website or contact me through the forum email.

Lou can i make a suggestion to the album? I figured you had to set the price at $1000 for the pens in eagle's gallery so you could put them in there. Is there a way you could change the price to priceless?

Andrew - Thank you for your suggestion. The price of $1000 is a subtle reference to a thread I started about 3 years ago - The Elusive $250 Pen. This was back before anyone had ever heard of a pen from components being sold for anything near $250 and the debate went back and forth. At one point, Scott Greaves (site co-founder with Jeff Brown) piped up with the comment that he believed it was possible for this group to reach the heights of a $1000 pen and that he believed Eagle just might be the guy to do it. The universal price of $1000 is a tribute of sorts, but you are right. Not only are Eagle's pens priceless, but so was Eagle.

I noticed the $1000 also. I didn't make the connection to the conversation, although I do remember it well.
My thought was that $1000 must be some limit on the shopping cart or something. It's funny now how completely Eagle has managed to blow that $1000 mark away though. His work really has become priceless. I would love to be able to make a serious payable $1000 offer for any blanks or pen made from a blank of Eagles and see if I would get any takers. I dought it and almost feel sure enough about that to make it anyway even if I am broke. I'm just not much of a gambler.[:I]
