"Pictures in your mind are memories"

That is what my 3-1/2 year old daughter told my mother-in-law today. She was as surprised as we are.

Makes me teary eyed when my wife told me the story. Reminds me why we are moving (to be with her) in the first place.

Aaah...the simple pleasures of parenthood. [^]

Kids have a way of saying things that just tug at your heartstrings. Just last night, my daughter was telling us that her youngest, Sean, 3, jumped on his tricycle, headed down the driveway, and said "Open the gate, mom, my trike wants to go to grampa's house." (They live about 10 miles distant.) Don't ever take those moments lightly.

Dario, just make sure you continue to enjoy the warmth, tenderness, truthfulness and incredible adeptness that only a child can portray, my friend! They never cease to amaze me with how truly bright they really are. [;)]

My son likes to tell his grandma when she calls that she "needs to bring me a fast car so I can come see you". Grandma lives about 8 hours away. It tugs at everyones heart strings...

Dario,
It just keeps getting better with age. My 14 year old daughter and I were goofing a few nights ago and something she said made me reply "now your being weird" She looked up at me with a big goofy smile and said " I'm not weird, I'M UNIQUE!" I've been chuckling about it all week.

Try to make this a short story, Our grandsons had lived with us all their lives until last October, now we get them at least one weekend a month, EVERY time we take them back to their Mom they cry their eyes out after us (for that matter so do we). It rips your heart out. We talk to them 2 or 3 times a week and every time they ask when they can come back to Nanna and Papa's.
Enjoy them every minute you can, kids are what life is all about, they have a way of helping keep life and things in perspective.

When he was about 3, my nephew (now 17) explained something which was 'similar' to something else as being "like it, but not." Our family still uses that phrase.

His sister - more sassy - will forever be known for saying "All right, all riiiiiight" when told to do something.

Dario,
Kids are really amazing, huh!
My son (6yrs) woke up a few months ago and yelled for me to come there quick! He had his eyes open real big and said "Daddy, I can control my DREAMS!!!"[:0] [:D][:D][:D]

By the way, you never did accept my myspace firend invite.....[B)][:)]

Huh? Can you please resend? Maybe I thought it is one of those weird requests [:D]...I get a ton of it and tends to delete unknown users almost in auto pilot mode...sorry.

That is why for a long time...I only have one friend...my wife LOL.
