Right now not much to say. We have decided to go to MD Anderson in Houston. Hi Monty, we will be staying in Kemah. This will sound weird but my old girlfriends parents live there and we keep in touch, they have offered us the use of their guest house and a car. This will save us some money and worries. As well as Kelly looks forward to meeting them and seeing the sun rise on the bay.

Kelly is doing good, she is worried that her tongue is swollen on that side. We decided to get a jump start on some test and today she had a chest x-ray and scheduled a CT for Monday. Hopefully this will help when it comes time to go to MD Anderson. We are discussing living wills and Power of Attorney right now. They want someone there at every appointment with Power to make decisions in case Kelly cannot.

Sadly, we cannot afford for me to take 10 days off for the new patient consult and then days for treatments. So, my mom will fly down on the days I cannot be there and I will go try to get 40 hrs of work in 2.5 days time. Right now I am working as many extra hours as I can.


I will update as we find out more. Thanks for all the support and the emails I continue to receive.

I hope everything pulls through, my dad's side is prone to cancer and it's a horrible feeling to see a love one go through it and know there is nothing you can do to help them except pray and keep their spirits high.

Thanks for the update. My old dental school roommate I mentioned to you has had his surgery. He says talking and eating is clumsy with the graft on his tongue, but is excited that all his lymph nodes are clear. I hope and pray that Kelly has a similar result.

Your going the opposite way we live as I would've loved to help out. Hopefully your acting on this as fast as possible. Bless you both!

My Mom just found out 2 weeks ago that she has breast cancer is is scheduled for a lumpectomy. It's very small but malignant. She will require 7 days of radiation, twice a day. I pray for her also.
