Its slow going, but I think I'm starting to learn how this stuff can be made into pens. Fresh from the Jade Market in Hong Kong. Should have #1 complete in a week or so.

Hard - yes, but I think I figured a way on the woodturing lathe. It might not be conventional, but it seems to work. Hope to see the results soon.

Here's the start. What I tried was cutting slices about .065" and then cutting again about 0.065 with a thin kerf diamond saw. I glued these pieces around a tube and filled the spaces with colored epoxy. Unfortunately I don't like the epoxy color so I may have to startover or I may try to bleach out the color. I'm able to shape it round by wetting it and use a diamond sharpening tool I picked up at Lowes. The surface it actually quite smooth, though when all is done, I may put some CA over it.
