For the last few years I have turned over 50 pens for the troops overseas. In the past, I have donated them to Woodcraft to send. This year, I'm going to send them directly to a group of soldier that is doing a unique job. Being a retired Kentucky National Guard soldier, I know many of these people. They are helping the Afghan people better provide for their families by helping revitalize agriculture in their war-torn country. One of my best friends is the executive officer for the Kentucky Agribusiness Development Team II. The first of these teams is returning this week (ADT I).
For more information on their mission check out their blog: http://kyadt2.wordpress.com/
So, if anyone wants to send a few of the pens that they would normally donate to another organization, let me know and I'll PM my address. I'm planning on shipping my box to them August 15th. On the other hand, if you aren't interested in donating, check out their blog anyway. It is a very interesting mission for which these soldiers have volunteered.
Thanks
Brian
