So yesterday I went to the American Woodturners Association gallery in Downtown St. Paul to take a look around. There were some wonderful pieces of art that I hope to even come close to creating myself. It was a very bennificial experience. As for the pens on display though. I couldn't believe that the American Woodturners Association would allow people to sell their turned pens there that were not even close to the quality that I have seen here or turned out myself.

There were gaps all over the place and the center area where the cigar pen goes to the center band was turned about 1/8" to deep on every single one. I was kind of disapointed when I saw that but all the other work was excellent. If anyone is ever in the area you should check it out. They also have some neat vintage lathes.

PS: Sorry if those were your pens on display I am just overly critical sometimes :smile-big:
