Hey All,

Has anyone got a PW sent to Australia yet? If so, can you tell me how much postage was? I've been sending emails to Mr Beall for the last 3 or 4 weeks asking for a quote, but am not getting any response.

Thanks. Russell.

Try calling the toll-free number; you're more likely to get a quick response that way.

1-800-331 -4718

Just a couple problems with that

1. It's not a toll-free number from Australia.
2. You guys are usually all at home with family or in bed when I'm up ready to call. I'm on the bus heading to work now, 6:41am in the morning - what time is it there??

Russell.

Middle of the afternoon here. You should be good to call before work.
International should be able to call them at 1-740-345-5045 (from their web page).

Quick phone call to Beall got the following:

About $60 priority mail.

It weighs about 8 pounds, in the box, I will do a quick check and let you know if there is a different answer on the USPS site.

Wow, that's very nice of you Ed. Thanks for doing that.

Now I just have to decide - what's more important. Pen Wizard, new drill press or decent camera. Unfortunately I can't get them all :frown:

I just semt a box that was 10 lbs, I think my P/W is about 8 lbs and the postage for the 10 lbs was $61

Which one will recoup your investment quickest so that you can afford the next on the list?

Good point.

You need to plot/graph the initial cost against the amount of time it takes to
get the investment back, based on your best guess. You do this for each
item and then compare the results at the bottom. Also factor in whether or
not you can find any temporary workaround to achieve the best results
without making the purchase, and determine how long you could make that
work without affecting your bottom line or time investment. You should
consider the spousal approval factor, also. Failure to take this into account
could add extra expenses to your total, as you need to add the expense
of alternate sleeping arrangements.
You take all of these things into account as you look over the numbers.
Then you buy the one that gives you the best instant gratification.

Gee, and I thought it all came down to which one I liked most?

Well I got the Camera, and the Aussie $$ is still in the doledrums. I'm seriously thinking of a new press next, so I guess the Wiz a little ways off yet.

Russell.
