Well it is finally getting to that point where a I am getting my pen inventory up to the point of carrying them in a cardboard box will not cut it any more. I do not want to make a display carrying case so I ask you all for suggestions. What is the best way and safest way to transport my pens to and from shows and also show them easily??? I have read on many occassions that these cases that hold the pens in with rubber straps are not a good idea because they will leave impressions in the finish of a pen especially if left in hot weather. True or not true????? Would it be a good idea to get a wooden display case with several drawers or soft leather cases that zip open or both??? Looking for suggestions and also places to purchase such items. Photos of examples would also be helpful. Thanks for the replys.

John we display on the clear acrylic risers and stands so I too needed a good safe way to transport pens to and from shows. My answer, I ordered a bunch of the velvet pen rolls from CSUSA and bought one of those rolling, foldable file carts from Staples. All my pens go in plus odds and ends of my displays. On shows where I don't leave my stock overnight it's easy to slip the pens into the rolls and load and roll the cart out. The only problem I've had is the larger pens can be a little tight at times but Connie has fixed that by making a couple of the same type rolls with wider pockets.

Here's an example of the rolling cart:

For simple storage, I use the pen rolls from CSUSA. They hold 18 pens and don't mar the finish.

You would need a separate display unless you just wan to lay them on the material, but they are nice for storage purposes.
