It’s here, Pen Tool Review web site. We will be offering user tool reviews and much more. We have also added Books and DVD, also. We are also proud to announce that we have added categories for Pen Kit Hardware. Yes, we are going to be the only site that offers Pen kit reviews by the users that use them. So, go and sign up and post a review.

Please, if you see any glaring problems, let us know. Or, if you think there should be a category the we should add, let me know that too. If you want a category added, go ahead and post your review in one that is close and we can move it to the new category. Remember, this is still a work in progress. There still may be issue or two. So, have fun and lets make this a success. Pass along the news to all your friends.

I would like to apologize to those who created an account before. I screwed something up and the accounts got deleted, when I started over. Sorry.

Please, when you sign up, make sure you give a valid email address and verify that email address.

Thanks a lot,
Steve

Hi Steve,
I posted a review on my Grizz GO444Z. If I did something wrong, let me know. First time and all.
Thanks for all the effort you went through to do this for us and others.

are the reviews international or are you mainly interested in the USA market

Any and all reviews. IAP has a pretty strong international membership, so yes we want international reviews. [:D]

Steve, for goodness sake NO it wasn't your review. Like I said I could only read the first line of your review. The remained of the comment was like a really old person telling a joke and they do to sleep right before the punch line. DUH!

Folks - Just a reminder, we've always encouraged reviews of pen tooling, shop equipment, and kits here at the IAP. We don't have a dedicated forum for it, but if a dedicated section makes sense for us, let's do it.

If you review something that you want to post there, but not here, I'd like to know why so that we can fix that!

Jeff,
The issue I have with using a forum for review medium is the posts get buried too quickly. Especially in a busy one like the IAP. I chose a CMS just for that reason. Each review is categorized and easy to find. Each member can manage their own reviews and if they want to add to it or modify it at anytime. I'm not saying you can't do that with a forum, because you can. There is no reason why members can't post in both sites. I am not trying to compete with the IAP, I'm trying to work together. I appreciate that you let me post my links here and I will donate that back some how.

Heh All, I know there is lots of opinions out there, put those opinions on paper and get them posted on both the IAP and the PTR [:D]

Certainly on a forum, posts get buried, but there is no reason that reviews need to be handled in posts. We could put reviews on our content server as we do with articles, or set up a dedicated forum with indexing specific to reviews (such as a sticky post with an index). We also have the wiki in development, by definition a CMS.

Regardless, I wish you good luck! [:)]

So, would you all like to see a pen tool review/commentary section here?

It'd be simple. One topic per tool, you write a little review, and people add their own comments.

If you want to write a detailed review with photos, test results, etc., we'll turn it into a pdf and post as an article.

What say you all???
