Pen Repair

I got an email from a man in Hamburg, NY (near Buffalo):

Hi I bought a pen from one of your fellow pen turners and just love it, unfortunately I gave it to a customer to use and they bent the clip. The gentleman I purchased it from I found out has died. Can you tell me how I can get it repaired or replaced? Jack Loft

I asked a few questions and discovered that the pen maker was one of our members and he has indeed passed away. It's Richard Hackford and his last visit here was about a year ago.

If you live near Buffalo and want to repair or replace a pen, post here and I'll send you the contact info for Mr. Loft.

I went to Richard's photo album, and it brought back some nice memories of his work.

Jeff, Ron, William, I'm but a new guy here compared to you three, but a great gesture from you all. I wouldn't presume that any of you don't have parts to fix this fellows pen, but if for some reason you don't please let me know. I'd be honored to help.

No surprise here, someone is always willing to help out. It's what makes this place so great.
Something is telling me we should do something for the members who had passed away. Not sure what though. Even if their profiles have a special place on the home page or something.
