I'm sure this will garnish several opinions but that's ok I need options. Sadly my story is little different than others but proably has some similarities. I'm 49 year old disabled man, who has bad days and just awful days constant pain just depends on severity. I got into pen turning as I didn't want to sit and rot in front of a tv. I absolutely love it and gets my mind off things. I have over 10 specialist all of which scratch their heads... The dilemma is more than likely I have 3 or 4 maybe more autoimmune disorders... All of the, fighting for real estate on my body. I went from riding 100 or 250 mile bicycle rides every Saturday to when I do walk walk with a cane most of the time. I give you this back story so you have a little bit of my struggles. My problem is being young and forced me into disability/Medicare my pay, entire each month isn't so great even worse when your under 55 major penalties. My wife is looking for a job to teach online or something she can't work normal job as she tends to me or chauffeurs me from 1 doctor or the next so it isn't that either of us are lazy... I need to find economical extremely economical pen kits/components. Blanks I find on sale here and there. But components not so. Much... where to go where to purchase quality but "cheap price". I prefer the Vista style so far... If any of you hav extra or getting out of the pen making world hit me up please. I want to be able to start to have an inventory then sell and use the "profit" to buy more kits. I know all have similar issues and I'm sorry if this comes across "begging" but kinda out of ideas. So places to get good really good prices. Or someone getting out Of pen making or if you have extras let's me know who/what/where. Starting next week I get yet another medication (Not covered and stupid expensive) and not sure how to pay for all of them. Yet... Sorry to ramble on just looking for help and advice I apologize again if this reads or sounds like begging.. out of ideas.. Thank you in advance. Phixius... Psalm 46:1

Hi, This place (https://woodpenpro.com/) sells $0.99 slimline kits. I can't speak to the quality, as I've never tried them. It's probably good enough, though. Also, I've got a few kits that I'm not particularly fond of. They came in some multi-kit packages. If you PM me your address, I'll dig them up and send them to you. Nothing fancy, but something to get you started.

Also, one thing to consider--be cognizant of drill bits and bushings when you factor cost. If you're really looking to maximize value and minimize start-up costs, consider focusing on different kits that utilize the same bushings and drill bit. That will give you some variety without having to incur the cost of extra bushings and additional bits. This forum's app is a great place to identify kits that use similar dimensions.
