Members, I need some help and or information. I've been a member for about a year or so. I think this is a great place to learn and expand. I'm trying to expand my pen turning into desk sets. A co-worker has ask for a desk set to match, a pen, pencil, letter opener and last but not least a fountain pen. I'm looking for a source of the acrylics we normally get as blanks, however in a sheet. Maybe 6"x 12" or so. Is there such a source out there? I know that I could set up and cast my own, and that may be the best in the long term. Right now that's not a good option. Any help would be graetly appreciated.I hope some day soon to post some of my pen work. I really enjoy it, but pale in comparision to most members. Thanks again for all that expanding knowledge!!

I ran into the same situation in September. I had to make 50 desk sets out of black acrylic. I contacted a local trophy shop and had them custom make 50 in the dimensions I needed 4" X 9" X 1/2" thick. They were able to chamfer the edges, polish the surface & drill the center hole for $8.00 each. Depending on your area you may be able to get them cheaper. It was worth it to me to have them made, so I could concentrate on turning the pens.

I will correspond with BarrierBob, but for the information of others, we CAN do this, but it will be a lot more expensive than the rate shown above.

I talked with Bill at AS about some larger acrylic blanks for game calls. He told me that the only way to get it was to import it in sheets, at 600+lbs per sheet. Other suppliers may have access to larger stuff, but Berea only gets the pen blanks and stopper blanks pre cut.
