Not sure if this is a fixture or a shop aid, but either way, I want to share my simply pen blank rotator I assembled this weekend
I'm playing with UV cure resin, and find that the outside cures quickly, the interior resin takes longer when I'm adding other media to it. I've had several cases of blowout. I'm adding sand to make some pens from places visited (peru), or the family beach location near Cap Code that been in the family since 1950
While I could have purchased something similar for other purposes, I like tinkering and building, so I decided to make my own pen blank turner. I found a rotating display stand from Amazon for $10 that spins at 4RPM, which is good enough for my purposes. It runs on 3 AA batteries or a USB power source. It just sits in the fixture so I can use it horizontally as pictured or take it out and run it vertically. I also built a simply UV light holder. its crude, but works for me needs.
