Pen Assembly

Hey guys,

I was assembling a Majestic Jr. pen today and it reminded me to ask you guys a question. How do you deal with the black insert that goes into to the cap? Whenever I put it in there are these little black shavings that come off and get stuck between the blank and the centerband.

Thoughts?

There's a pretty good chance that the barrel trimming process leaves a burr in the inside of the pen tube. I either use a countersink reamer in the end of smaller tubes or a sharp knife around the edge of larger tubes to take the burr out.

I do this before I turn the barrel as the burr can sometimes affect the way the bushings fit in the tube.
