PDF on Urushi from the Getty

I decided to do some research on the Urushi technique and try it on some of my Ebonite bespoke fountain pens.

Urushi is beautiful and durable; but not something to be played about with; IIUC.

I hope you do a lot more research than this before trying it. There's more to urushi than what that article says.

Recently, I made a few ebonite pens. I don't know how to paint pens. I can only let someone try to make a few of them for me. I will send them to you when they are finished. Large lacquer is widely used in China and Japan, and it can be applied to various objects to increase the beauty and durability.
