I sold some pieces of Cuban Mahogany to a member of IAP and he made payment via PayPal. They froze his account for several days because "cuban " triggered an alert . He had to show a picture of the wood and explain what it is used for !!!!! Crazy .

Of course. The next time you will need to call it Swietenia mahogani or one of it's other common names, like West Indies Mahogany. - Dave

PS This reminds me of a story. Shortly after I started working at Vishay, we had made some spare parts for our manufacturing plant in Juarez, Mexico. The spare parts were Wire Support Arms, about 3-inches long, used to support fine wires on one of our inductor winding machines. They weren't the big ones for heavy wire, but the small ones for fine wire. Whoever shipped them labeled the box "Small Arms" -- needless to say, they got held up in customs at the border.

I use Google Merchant in conjunction with my website, where I once described a pen as being made from a "choice cut of maple burl". Every two weeks Google flags this listing because it thinks I'm selling tobacco, which is against the rules. Apparently choice cut is a grade of tobacco. I removed the language. It still gets flagged. 🤷‍♂️

There's another one flagged as selling ivory, when there is no mention of ivory in the listing. That one's a total mystery to me.
