For those of you that use paypal or take paypal you might be able to help me. I use a paypal for most of my purchases here ect... I set up a new account under a different bank account. When you send paypal is it sent as an Echeck or something else. I have just received a "echeck is completed" confirmation. I have never had these on my old account. Noticed all of my payments are sitting in "uncleared" status on paypal. With my other account when I send money it immediately goes to cleared. Any one help here? If I need to explain it differently please let me know.

Also if it is sent under an echeck does it hold up shipment until it's cleared?

So if I want to use it like a debit card, which I have for the account. I just need to add the credit card number and use it for instant payment? From what I understand an echeck is just like me writing a check?

You have options in pay pal to do e-check or diect from bank account. You probably hit e-check by mistake. I did it once too, just takes a little longer to go thru.

If you go through the "verified" process, it will speed transactions like this up. It sounds like you were "verified" on your older account, but not the new.

Man, no wonder I haven't seen some of my orders. People have been waiting for me to send money. I miss the old days when you could tell someone "I'll send the money, you send the stuff" and it was as good as a hand shake. Unfortunately in today's world some people are out to burn others so this isn't possible and it's understandable why.

Guess I need to send emails to those I bought stuff from that way they don't think I stood them up and forget about me. I knew something wasn't right. Thanks y'all.

Ya, it's verified, just my stupidity didn't realize my other account thas the debit card number entered so it goes instantly.

<br />OK, I added my debit card now. So all payments should pull from that? There is no option to remove the echeck payment.

If you have made payments with an e-check. The person receiving it has to cancel it, you can't. E-checks take 3 to 5 days to clear, sometimes longer. It clears when the funds are verified.

Yep, all your payments will be made through your debit.

Email the person you sent the check to and ask them to cancel it.

Also, verify that you entered the correct email to send the money to. This will also hold up the funds, if it has gone to the wrong place. If this happened you will need to wait for the transaction to expire.

I keep a cash balance in my paypal account so any payment I make from PayPal is completely instantly. They actually pay a decent interest rate on cash balances.

My paypal account is set up so my purchases are paid by a credit card. If someone sends me money will those funds go into an interest bearing paypal account or will I nees to set up another type account?
