How do you make the paypal checkout combine shipping on multiple items so the shipping is not charged for each item? Any help is greatly appreciated.

I click on Preview Invoice- then change shipping cost to what I want, Then preview again and if correct send the invoice

Last time I checked on it you have to set up your shipping charges. it gives you a few options. Shipping based on total of items as in Dollars, shipping based on number of items ordered. I can't remember them all. But Pay Pal check out is no where near powerful enough to calculate shipping on each individual order. Which I do myself then e-mail totals. I simply have postage added to the price of my pen. If a customer orders more than one I simply send them a refund on the excess postage. that serves to make very happy customers.

Since the only thing I sell through my site are completed pens, and I don't have people buying so many that any one order won't fit in a flat rate box, I just have my shipping charge options set to a flat fee per order.

If I ever get an order big enough to exceed a small flat rate box I will happily eat the extra five bucks or so to jump up to the meduim box.

Thanks for your replies I really appreciate them. I wish all I did sell was pens but I have a few items like loml's Afghans that need a larger box. So I think I wiil set it up like some have mentioned but note the larger objects will cost more to ship or raise the price on those to make up the shipping costs.
