We have a 70+ year old neighbor who is the local watchdog. NOBODY pulls in my driveway that is not inspected from across the street.

So, I have to report on shows when we return, after all, the trailer has been gone for a day, so he knows we were "out selling again". Tuesday night, I told Clem about Dawn's plate's new home in the Kenosha Museum. Of course, he said I should congratulate her and the usual pleasantries. I thought the topic was covered.

Wednesday evening, Dawn and I returned from work. Clem and his wife were sitting outside until they spied our Durango. Then, they both JUMPED to their feet and began very deep bowing as the car passed. Dawn turned a really pretty shade of red.

So, for those who think I am "full of nonsense", let me point out that I have some excellent neighbors who are equally prone to frivolity.

Life is too short to take it seriously!!!:D:D

Sounds like you live in a really good neighborhood. That's the trouble with lots of places now-a-days. People just don't care or are too busy to chat it up with the folks who live around them.

We"re in the "country", about 100 yards off the Interstate between Chicago and Milwaukee.

However, there is still a "country" atmosphere and the houses are far apart, no need for fences to make good neighbors.

But, Clem and I have been there for over 20 years, so we kinda know each other. We DO speak to the newcomers (under a decade), but we don't say too much[:D][:D][:D][:D]!!

I thought their names might be "Abner and Gladys Kravitz" after the first couple of sentences of your description. It is nice to know someone is watching out for you.
