Here is the pen I have been working on the last several days. Had to learn how to dry and prepare pansy for the PR. I had cast rose pedals before but had learned pansy are more sensitive. Maybe that is where the term "pansy" indicating a weak person came from.
I had to go through a process of drying the pansy with silica gel and the microwave. Let them cool then coat with shellac to protect from the PR.
Here is my blank after pulling out of the PVC pipe and the final product.
I actually glued the pansy to the tube,plug the ends with wine corks. You can see the corks in the blank at both ends and the middle.
By accident the blank and the pen are turned to the same side.

i love your pen i am an avid gardener i love it i cant say it enough really it made my day seeing your beautiful work thank you for showing us
