Neil,

I checked about the rest area on i-84 and found that it's only accessible from the eastbound side so I think we need to switch to plan B.Take I-84 to exit 23 and I'll meet you in the corner of the mall parking lot by the macy's and Jc Penny. I'll try to call you tonight to make sure you get this message.

:biggrin:Uhm, guys, the local rest stops around here are rumored to be where men go to meet men, and I don't mean for conversation. I am sure glad you have changed it to a different location. Although, corners of parking lots are usualy where illegla activities occur!:biggrin:

You guys from the Danbury,CT area?

I grew up in Bethel Ct. which is a bordering town to Danbury. Waterbury is about 30-35 miles north of Danbury.

I work in Brookfield Ct which is a bordering town to Danbury.

Hmmmm,

Curtis, are you telling me this from experience?

I'm with Curtis on this one. When it's night and you need to stop at a rest stop along the Interstate .... pack your sidearm. You never can tell who's in there trolling. Could even be a Senator. Who knows?

I am glad that I am as ugly as I am, I don't seem to have these problems.

I have to agree with Cav on this one.

I'll bet that Doc and Curtis already have a rest stop picked out in Mississippi

i grew up in brewster ny, bordering danbury. I use to work in the danbury fair mall. Use to party in Hartford.
This thread went wayyyyyyyyyyyyyy off base. But to get it back in line, I used to spend a lot of my free time at the Danbury Fair race track when I was younger, and I still go up to Marcus Dairy on the sunday runs once in a while. I go through Brewster whenever I am heading up to Pheonicia or Redhook. Maybe we can get together on my next trip. I am just not going to meet you at a rest stop.

ahhh,

The Danbury Fair racearena, the Saturday nights spent there during my youth. If you want to take a stroll down memory lane look here: http://www.danbury-racearena.com/Track-History.htm

I also remember getting into the Fore n' Aft at 16 and 17 to see Twisted Sister, The Good Rats and Rat Race Choir.

Anybody ever go to the car shows at the Sycamore restaurant in Bethel?

The simplicity of youth.........

I would take you up on that offer. However, I now live in VA. I just recently got back from Brewster though, I even stopped at the mall for some good old shopping needs. Ah, I miss the old town. It was 12 years ago I was at that mall, and not much has changed in the Danbury area. Oh well.
