I should answer this in public:
There are a few members to whom I owe an apology. Orders that have been sitting since before the holiday have not been filled or properly handled.
I am sorry.
Since Eagle's passing, I have accomplished very little. Dawn spoke with Eagle daily, I talked to him a couple times a week. We both have a hole in our lives that needs to be mended. And, it is happening. Yesterday was nearly normal - phones ringing, work happening, challenges of daily life occurring. So, the "Artpens" business will be up and running again this afternoon (I usually do that stuff after 3 PM, when Pro-Copy's service closes).
I like to think of myself as "Spock-like" - logic should dictate actions. Unfortunately, my human side emerged far more than I expected. This is the first close friend I have ever lost (but I have FEW close friends), I hope it's the last for quite a while.
So, to those who have orders pending -- I WILL get to it, this afternoon. And, again, my apologies.
I certainly HOPE this is a "one-time event". And, I AM sorry it has effected my professionalism.

You are allowed to have emotions, even in the business world. I do not have an order ready, but even when my money is in someone elses hands and they have personal issues like this, I say that you are more important than my money right now. Eventually things will come back around, but feel free to be "unprofessional" in such a time.

Ed & Dawn,
This affected us in a very similar way. I didn't make it to work Monday until Late - which means I missed a meeting - that hasn't happened in the 4+ years I have been the supervisor in this position.
Pens didn't get made. Clothes didn't get washed. Orders didn't get filled. SO WHAT.
You are both human. You do have emotions - thank goodness you cared enough to have the feelings you have. Thankfully, Eagle was such a great influence on so many of us that he will leave a legacy amongst his family, friends and acquaintances too which will inspire others to reach for the unthinkable.
Don't beat yourselves up. I'm pretty sure all of us understand... I know we sure do.
