My first usage of my newly configured HF pressure pot was to stabilize some cross cut curly maple.
I had trouble end milling and turning it so I thought stabilizing it might help. I used Minwax wood hardener. I also threw in 2 paduak blanks I had. I wanted to stabilize the padauk because of all the pens I have made, only a paduak pen gotten a small dent in it from just handling.
So 3 days later it appears the paduak colored the minwax and thus colored the maple. Color was a reddish-orange. Once they dry, I will turn a pen and post if it looks interesting.
Anyone have a similar experience?
