The hand therapist said I'm doing better than expected, I only have to wear the Freddy Krueger thing to bed or when I drive, and only till Sunday, I tried playing a guitar yesterday but didn't work (some body put barbed wire on my Guitar), I may try one of my electrics tomorrow, the middle finger may not co-operate as well as I'd like, but I'm still optimistic, so I ordered a bunch of stuff today.
I have one more week of work, but they are bumping my therapy to three times a week, I almost think I could guide a gouge at least the 1/2 inch one and use my wood lathe,.
I ordered about 70 inexpensive pens slims, euros, cigars, and a bunch of good stuff on the CUSA buy, plus some stoppers, I may have to turn a lot of it on my metal lathe, but next week, I'm going to try and turn some slim lines on my wood lathe I think
here is a picture of my injured digits, it's not very gory ,in fact, I'm pleased as all get out it look this good,

So, if you ask for two fingers of Scotch, how much do you get?

Good to see you'll be back in the saddle!

Glad to hear things are looking up Ken . Do what the Doctors and Therapists say and don't over do it , just take your time and you'll be back to turning with two hands soon .

Man, glad to hear that! I work with table saws every day of my life and I am always keenly aware that I am one flinch away from losing weight the hard way.

Lookin' good, Ken... You'll be back up and running before you can count to 9-1/2...

Hey, that's great news.

I would almost kill for a metal lathe. It would be really nice roughing things almost to size before the handwork. Also would be nice to create my own bushings, centerbands, threads, and everything else a metal lathe can do.

Ken, nice to hear the good news, even better to hear that you are testing it every day to see how far you can go. i've watched real miracle stories from family members that tackled injuries in just the same way. they are now doing everything the experts ever said they couldn't. keep plugging away.
