The equipment is outstanding but the men and women who use the equipment are the real national treasure.

I am going to stand in a Patriot Guard flag line Saturday to honor one young hero who recently died in Afghanistan by a sniper's bullet. His team of Marines took out the insurgents in a firefight that followed.

The enemy can find ways to sneak up on the best trained and equipped troops. So our people are always at risk. To me it's all about our brave men and women who assume these grave risks for us.
