My Birthday . . .
Marlene (wife)surprised me with a charter fishing trip for my Birthday. One of our customers, Gary Nicholls (CAPT G)owns Miss Vicki Fishing Charters service, so as a surprise last Monday, our son, two of my brother-in-laws and two great nephews left the shore at South Haven at 6:30 AM and spent the day fishing. I have never seen Lake Michigan so calm and so beautiful. We caught six Lake Trout and a King Salmon and they were delicious. As I sat on the boat surrounded by all the beauty of Lake Michigan, I realized how lucky we are to live in Michigan. I was on one of the Great Lakes and we are surrounded by five of them, (counting Lake St. Clair). I think it is important to stop every so often and realize all the positives that surround us instead of dwelling on the negatives. We are so lucky and blessed. Thank you Gary for the excellent guidance and thank you Marlene for the wonderful gift.
