We have such a vast array of knowledge here, I was hoping for some advice about a woodworking project I am working on.

I am building a sump pump cover for our family room. I had a nice enough cover, but SWHTM felt otherwise. Seeing an opportunity to really get some more good stuff, (a really nice raised panel bit set and maybe more) I said," Sure Honey" and set off to our local wool store with inspired Mastercard in hand......short story even longer... so I made a cabinet/sump pump cover with 6 rasied panel doors. I now have to adhere some sound deadening styrofoam to the inside of the top sides and doors. I have several sheets, it 's the type that will "break" if you bend it. What should I use to adhere these sheets of foam to the oak?
Thanks--

styrobond (OR .. liquid nails)

Jen ... how long do you have to keep them in the freezer before they can be driven into Oak?

YOu could use a screw with a 1/8th fender washer to hold them in place as the glue dries. Loctite brand Power Grab construction will work well also.

I'd use liquid nails. It worked on a hollow wood door, that closes off my Billco Doors. I insulated with two layers of foam.

I would think any of the construction adhesives would work fine as long as it doesn't react with the foam. Styrobond would be fine.

Thank you all---I was concerned that adhesives would melt the styrofoam, now I know it won't--so I"ll get to it today!

I figured I would chime in here...I would use a polyurethane glue...that way the moisture/humidity will not tear it off...PL400 maybe...Its the best I have used and its sold at the BORG
