....you forgot the glass of Wine Anthony..

[:D]

I agree with you...the vote is part of the foundation of what democracy is about....it amazes me how many people neglect that right..

And...cough cough......smoke over there okay!!

It is hard to believe that only 42% of the people in this country will vote today!

Yet 100% will complain about the way things are going! Voting is the one time where what you have to say can truly count!

Having grown up in Chicago, under the original Dick Daley regime, everyone was told, vote early, vote often and grandpa ain't really dead, go vote HIS wishes for HIM (if he's a Democrat). At the time, EVERYBODY in Chicago was a Democrat!!

How things have changed. Now, I'm in Wisconsin and there are 5000-10,000 more votes in Milwaukee than there are people voting!!!

I guess its just a miracle????!!!![:0][:0][:0][:0]

Anyone else notice a pattern here? Those "voting irregularities" seem to be following Ed!

Kiss your 10,000 extra votes g'by, ol Guv!"

However, over the hill comes a charging army of Native Americans, carrying pinball machines, yelling "WE WILL SAVE you, ol GUV!!!" We carry BIG WAMPUM! (That's half a million dollars to you and I)[:0][:0][:0]

Amen.

And thanks to you and everyone that protects that right and priviledge!

Here here!

It really irks me to listen to someone whining and complaining about the gov't doing something they don't like and then finding out they didn't vote. My supervisor at work chastized me once for telling someone like that to "shut-up - you lost your right to complain when you didn't care enough to vote".

And to you, your "hubby", Navydiver and all others that are serving, have served and will serve,

THANK YOU

At the time, EVERYBODY in Chicago was a Democrat!!

They still are!!!

Here in Illinois today we had 3 choices on the ballot. The incumbant democrat. The republican who acts like a democrat. And a green party canidate who makes the democrat look like a republican.

Sooooo . . . .

I voted for a constitutionalist party write in canidate who makes the democrats and republicans both look green!!![:0][^]

My name is Greg Cozad and I approve of the fact that this day is finally over!!!

I wrote in my best friend for Governor. I'd have rather have voted up in Wisconsin. I can't believe they re-elected Diamond Jim Doyle.

Chris,

The REAL question is WHO could vote for Doyle AND Van Hollen (R) for Atty. General???? Yet, tens of thousands HAD to do that, if you believe the results. On the other hand, have you seen the articles about "fixing" the voting machines?

Diamond Jim is supported by Illinois interests and associates of the Illinois governor's office. HHHHHHHHHHHHHhhhhhhhmmmmmmmmmmmmmm..............[}:)][}:)][}:)]

Well if Van Hollen does what he said he would do, Doyle will probably be indited before his term is up. Doyle makes Blagojevich look like a boy scout.

Well, four more years of no property tax freeze and preventing voter fraud. How did God's country become such a tax hell?

Like I said, there really isn't much different between the rebulicans and democrats these days. Sad. The political machine just keeps getting bigger and more consolidated and most voters feel they either cast thier vote for the lessor of two evils or simply don't vote. It is getting time we as the people begin to speak up more concerning the issues, especially those that pad the salaries and benefits of those who are elected into office.

And while I'm ranting about politicians and thier need for greed to live off of the working man's taxes, keep your eyes on Obama. Since elected here in Illinois he has been spending his time elsewhere. Either to promote his book, which wasn't released till after he was elected, or rubbing elbows here in other parts of thwe US and around the world as a way to fornm the basis of his presidential run next year. He has done more to help dem's in other states campaign for the election just past than he has done since elected into office for the state he represents!! Oh yeah, he really is a canidate for the people!!!! Money is on ol' Hillary as his VP!!![:0][:D][^]

I really wonder how many of them would be seeking an office if all they received for pay was what the average of the typical american workers made? And only received reinbursment for thier expenses incurred while only they were conducting political business!!

Didn't take long for the gas to go up after the election. Went up a nickle today in my hood.
I guess that trick didn't work for Georgy's gang.

You just summed up John Edwards' representation of NC. Was more interested in the next job than the current one.
