I had this stuff in the individual classified section for awhile, but I had never really made anything from it. I decided to rectify that recently. The color of this is nothing short of incredible, and the grain contrast is amazing!! This picture does not do this wood justice. There are a couple of people out there that have some of this that I sent them. The only thing I can say is... Turn it!! You won't be sorry.

I had an older gentleman come up to my market booth this weekend and recognize right off the bat what wood it was. I was stunned, until I found out he was from out west. You don't see much OO on the east coast. His son almost bought the bowl, too, but his wife was nagging him to get out of the heat right when he was trying to decide between a $125 dollar pen or an $80 bowl. She told him to do what he wanted, and she'd meet him in the car, but he said, "man I know what that means", and followed her to the car. Boy, I could have used that sale, too...
