This is about a 2-month process from wet/green wood to a finished bowl.
My first ever working with Osage Orange. The first few pics are finished.

8 1/2" x 3 1/4"
Mineral Oil/Bees Wax/Carnauba Wax
for a finish.

Thank you. When I first turned it, yes. On the second turn, no. Which I did think was strange.
Hmm. Sapwood is harder than the heartwood?

All I remember is cussing those trees as a kid because they'd dull up my chainsaws so quickly compared to other trees. We had a ton of them, along with black locust, on our property in S. OK.

I'm just curious to see how long it'll take to turn brown.
