Price is $0.50 to $0.75 per inch depending on size of blank (7/8" sq. to 2" sq.)
Example would be a 7/8" sq. by 6" would be $3.00 and a 2" sq. x 6" would be $4.50

That1 s about $125'00 per board foot~~!!! P.
Something is off in your calculations. 1 1/2" sq x 6.5"=0.1015 bf for $4, or $40/bf. 2" sq x 14.75" is 0.4097 bf for $10.50 or about $25/bf. (if it was $125/bf, the price would be about $51.22 instead of $10.50)

Subtract a little something finding, harvesting, cutting, driving to PO, etc. and it really isn't that bad at all. Plus...if i paid $6/bf rough at 2" thick--i never know exactly how much i will be able to use. And, like many hobby wood harvesters--empty space in Keith's boxes gets filled with some stuff i don't pay for. "Wooden Packing Peanuts" are some of the coolest parts of the buy for me!!

I am not going by board feet, rather just simply by the inch of the length of the blank weather it is 7/8" sq. or 2" sq.
Does that clear things up?
