Ed from Exotic Blanks suggested I make a much more expensive pen to compliment the pen I currently produce. His most expensive kit is the Oriental Dragon fountain pen with 22K Gold and palladium hardware. I paired the kits with box elder burl infused with blue resin and exhibition grade Hawaiian curly koa.

Working on a price between $250 and $300.

I've seen those kits at EB, but I'm not ready to spend that much yet. They are beautiful kits, beautiful blanks, and beautifully finished! Nice work!

If you are doing shows that have artists selling paintings, priced in the thousands, you SHOULD have something elegant and expensive.

No matter WHO you are, you will never sell a $1000 pen if you never price a pen at $1000.

Up to you (all readers)!
By the way, my "high end" pen was the Imperial full size--in 2010 I offered it for $500-700 depending on what it was wearing.

Those are beautiful pens! I may have to get one of those kits. There are plenty of people out there that feel like they deserve an expensive beautiful pen like that.
