You know ? I don't go around sellin Woof tickets . But I thought I should tell about this , just to remind everybody that these are desperate times , and some people do desperate things . We came home from dinner about 6:00 PM to find a strange car parked in front of the garage where we park . Since the house is on the market , we thought it was our realtor showing the house to someone . NO ! He would have called first . As I get out of the car , with BULL (Taurus .38 Special Ultra-lite) in hand , I go into the garage and discover the back door had been kicked in . While I was looking at the damage , I hear the door to the strange car open and slam shut . Ran out to see this guy tearing up the driveway in reverse . Yes , he got away for now . But , imagine what would be going on right now , if he was still in the house . Be careful my friends , they're out for the easy money . And no neighborhood is safe .

Wow, glad you spooked him before he cleaned you out. Sorry he got away, but glad you and yours are safe.

A good reminder to us all.

Chuck, glad you and yours are alright.
It is scary out there at times. Just try to keep your head straight, it will wear on you.
I had a similar experience about 18 yrs ago, will never ever forget it.
You need me to drive up to the city, I'm here for ya.

Hope you were able to give the police a good description of the vehicle.. they might know about the car.. Did he get anything ?

Thank you John . Same here , two-way street buddy .

'93 Caddy , Sedan Deville , Pearl White , clean no body damage with a D.A.R.E. sticker on the left rear corner of the deck lid . If my eyes were younger I would have a plate number . I think our guys will find this car . Thanks Larry , you know all about this stuff from your law enforcement career . So , I'm sure you know what I'm trying to get across to our friends .

Chuck glad you are OK, bet you still got a shock though, these are indeed desperate times as a couple of nights ago my next door neighbour got his new car stolen, his car was parked right next to mine and my wifes.

Could have happened here too , but I don't want to lose my permit by shooting at a guy running away .
The guy wasn't running away, "he was charging at you and you were in fear for your life." Remember that in the future. If you need a hand, let me know.

Thanks Mark . That's exactly what I mean . We can't be too careful . They're everywhere . Take care my friend !

:biggrin::biggrin::biggrin: Thanks Neil . I expect when I see that Cadilac again ..... well , thank you for your concern , and I'll let you know what happens . Thanks to my friends for offering to help . Right now , the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department is taking care of the situation , and I'm sure it will be filed with all the other cases . But that Cadilac is in MY hood .

I think I'm a bit wound up tonight ! Sorry !

this is probably a dumb question but I'm asking anyway. Are there tricks to learning how to remember details. For example the getaway car. I would have been lucky to get that it was a white car let alone all the details you got. So I'm thinking there's some kind of tricks to learn how to do that.

Well Jim H I was parked right next to the car , and had about 30 seconds to check it out . BTW , I've been told , there is no such thing as a dumb question . Thanks for your concern !

Good God Chuck!!! I'm glad you and Susanne are alright but ver sorry you had to go through that!!! Again, I'm glad both of you are SAFE!!!

Chuck,
I'm glad you guys are ok. Too bad the scumbag got away. I'll send my kids to his house, you know what they can do to a Woodcraft store, just think of what they will do to his craphole. Keep 'em locked and loaded my friend.

Wow Chuck. I'm sure that was not fun. Someone broke into our house a few years ago while we were asleep. I did my Barney Fife imitation on them and they were scared off....luckily.
P.S. My neighbor was a police officer and his patrol car was parked in his driveway at the time.

Thanks Steve,Ken and Cris . Gotta get a new door today . Cris , that might not be a bad idea about your kids . They would definately keep him busy ! LMAO
