Momma is a big Van Halen fan and she was waiting for years to see if they would get back with David Lee Roth. She always said that if they ever got back together that she would give anything to see them. (she's a few years my junior and her parents did not let her see a show when they were in their heyday). Well they did reunite and for our anniversary I surprised her with tickets to the show. I was not a big Van Halen fan but I have to admit it was one of the best shows I've ever seen. Momma was in seventh heaven and we had a wonderful time.

They played almost all of their catalog of original music during the 2+ hours that they were on stage and I have to say, Eddie has not missed a beat as he aged. His guitar playing is amazing. If your in your 40's like me and remember Van Halen from your high school daze, this is a show that's worth seeing.

Muddar, strike while the irons hot. With Momma in such a good mood decide which new tool or tools you need and make your move. It will be harder for her to tug those purse strings as long as the GLOW remains.

When Momma and I sit down every year to make a budget we make sure that "hobbies" are included (both hers and mine). I have a certain amount budgeted every month for tools and pen stuff. Another benefit to giving up smoking was that the money budgeted to cigarette's was rolled into MY tool budget! Add to that any profits from the sale of my "hobby creations" are also added to the tool budget.

My wife also like Van Halen, and we had tickets a few years back to see David Lee Roth, solo, but playing all the tunes. Enjoyed the show, JUMP was quite funny, but ya had to hand it to him.

KEWL! I have to check out their tour schedule and see if they're coming my way. Won't miss it if they are.[8D] Thanks for the heads up, Scott!

Well crap! No where near me. [:(!] Oh well, that's the way it goes sometimes.
